Cleaning the braai or BBQ grill

1. Burn

Fire up the grill, closing the hood if possible, and letting it reach the highest temperature. Burn for 30 minutes for the extreme temperature to singe any food or grease.

2. Scrub

Scrub the grill with a wire brush dipped into a solution of ¼ cup of Albex™ Dishwashing Liquid into 1 litre of water.

3. Cool

Let the grill cool completely.

4. Mix

Mix 1 cup of Albex™ Dishwashing Liquid into 10 litres of water and create a foamy soap solution.

5. Soak

Once the grill has cooled remove the grates and submerge them in the soap solution for 30 minutes to 1 hour. If you do not have a container big enough, we recommend using a bathtub.

6. Scrub

Scrub the grates again with a wire brush to remove any leftover grime.

7. Rinse

Rinse thoroughly with water.
